Boyne Mountain SkyBridge Michigan Review and Pics – Boyne Mountain SkyBridge is the world’s longest timber-towered suspension bridge, and it’s conveniently located up north in Boyne Falls, Michigan. Our staff took about an hour to ride the chairlift, walk the bridge and take photos.
The Boyne Mountain SkyBridge is a timber (sourced locally) and steel bridge that is suspended 52 feet at the towers. The height above the lowest point of the terrain that you walk across is almost 120 feet high. The width of the walking surface is five feet wide.
The fun starts with getting to the bridge. Guests will get to experience a chairlift ride to the summit as part of their SkyBridge ticket. Once reaching the SkyBridge, you will enjoy the panoramic valley views and extensive light displays. Additionally, there are restrooms and indoor dining available (at the top of the chairlift) and a food truck is on the far side of SkyBridge with outdoor fire pits. The SkyBridge food truck also offers summer entertainment on Saturdays from 4p-7p.
We love our seasons in Michigan…all have great views! It’s great that the SkyBridge is open year round, weather depending. We can’t wait to come back in the Fall. High winds and nearby thunder or lightning will close the bridge. But, SkyBridge will operate during precipitation as long as visibility is adequate and walking surfaces are clear.

Tickets for SkyBridge can be purchased online or at the bridge. You have the choice of a Single Visit ticket or All-Day Access. All-Day access grants you unlimited visits to the bridge for that day. All tickets include the scenic chairlift trip to the bridge which is as great as the bridge trip itself. If you’re staying at the resort, you can save $5 on a SkyBridge ticket when you book a room.
