Bio-Oil Review – Scar Treatment – With every true legitimate experiment comes a “control group.” If you don’t recall what a control group is from your old science class days, basically it is the baseline, or the group that does not get the experiment. Upon receiving my sample, I was “fortunate” enough to wipe out and scrape my knee. The scar was long enough for me to treat half with the Bio-Oil, and leave the other half alone (i.e. the control group). I used this product 2x/day for the recommended three months. At the end of the three months, the control group and the treated portion looked EXACTLY the same. I can’t believe the Bio-Oil did absolutely nothing to fade the scar any more than the zero treatment for the untreated portion of my scar!
Bio-Oil Review – Daily Moisturizer – My skin is quite dry and I use moisturizer daily. My feet always need a little extra attention. I tried the oil and it just doesn’t absorb right to be an effective moisturizer. I use Gold Bond Ultimate on my feet and it works wonders. I can actually feel the skin soften by using it. With the Bio-Oil, it remains on the surface as a greasy cover up instead of rubbing in deeper and getting to the root of the problem.
Bio-Oil Review – Anti-Aging – I have applied many anti-aging creams, gels, lotions, etc. on my face and neck. The Bio-Oil was the worst I’ve tried. Honestly, I can’t say that I can even give this one a fair review because there is no way I could use it again. It stayed on my face like a shiny, sticky mess. I could not get it to absorb into my skin. Luckily I don’t have problems with clogging pores or this might have done me in.
So, my conclusion from my reviews of Bio-Oil is obvious. I would never spend money on the Bio-Oil. I see absolutely no benefits from using the Bio-Oil. Bio-Oil did little to nothing to reduce, fade or treat my scar and I would not use Bio-Oil as an effective treatment for scars or for helping to fade or lighten a scar.
