Bravo Cucina Italiana Rochester Hills Review
When you first enter Bravo Cucina Italiana located in The Village of Rochester Hills, you will be surrounded by an Italian villa decor and greeted by the friendly staff. There is a bar at the front of the restaurant that serves food, or you can sit at one of the booths or tables.
Before ordering, you will be served warm, soft bread and an olive oil mixture for dipping. The Bravo! Cucina Italiana menu displays entrees written in Italian. You will find classical Italian dishes like brick oven pizza, pasta, grilled fish, chicken and shrimp. There is plenty to choose from with entrees ranging on average from $10 – $20. I’ve personally tried the turkey, bacon, and avocado sandwich, the lobster bisque, the pizza, the grilled salmon salad, and the meatball sliders. All were great.
I took my husband with me, even though he typically prefers pizza from a takeout or delivery joint. But, he was pleasantly surprised. There was a great selection of Bravo! Cucina Italiana favorites – like Margherita pizza with fresh mozzarella and basil, or pizza with prosciutto, pesto, and kalamata olives; a nice selection of pastas like Pasta Bolognese, tortellini in pesto sauce, and shrimp in a spicy tomato cream sauce; chicken marsala, rosemary grilled shrimp (rosemary is in every Italian kitchen) served atop orzo, and appetizers like fried calamari, bruschetta, and artichoke and spinach formaggio.
My husband and I split a Bravo! Cucina Italiana pepperoni pizza and the meatball sliders. We enjoyed the pizza which was cooked in a brick oven. The meatball sliders had one large meatball (big just like mom makes) on a small roll with cheese and sauce – the perfect amount of each. The sliders came with fries that were quite unique. They were thin cut and coated with Italian seasonings, parmesan and garlic.
We did not see a Bravo! Cucina Italiana kids menu, but I am guessing there is a separate menu for that. I did, however, see the signature drinks menu which included a Flirtini, Mama’s Margarita, and a Lemontini.
Bravo! also has a wine list and they offer wines that are produced with Sustainable Winegrowing methods which are good for the earth and the environment.
