Brookshire Restaurant Royal Park Hotel Review – Pics

Brookshire Restaurant Royal Park Hotel Review, pics, menu info, and hours info. The Brookshire Restaurant is an upscale restaurant located

in the main level of the Royal Park Hotel in downtown Rochester, Michigan.

The Royal Park Hotel recently granted us a stay and dinner package for review. I have already written the hotel stay review, and here I will write about our dining experience.

If you’re looking for an enjoyable night out, you can’t miss with the Brookshire Restaurant Royal Park Hotel. The service at the Brookshire Restaurant is nothing short of top-notch from the moment you walk into the door til the moment you leave. You’re sure to have a memorable dining experience.

Our dinner at the Brookshire Restaurant was very similar to other fine steak houses we’ve visited, such as Rochester Chop House, Ruth’s Chris, Big Rock, etc. The food is excellent and boasts high quality cuts of meat prepared to perfection under the direction of award-winning Executive Chef Colin Brown.

We were served warm bread to start, baked fresh in a skillet, topped with seasonings, and served with soft butter. Even on my best intentions of remaining gluten-free, this was difficult to resist.

For our main entrees, I ordered the May Tag Filet which is a bleu cheese crusted filet with wild Michigan mushroom, and my husband ordered the Sirloin filet. We ordered some sides of onion rings and fries to go with it. I know, not the most elegant option, but they were irresistable. The onion rings were thick cut and fried to a perfect crisp, and the fries were seasoned with sea salt, parmesan and bleu cheese. Other sides include whipped yukon potatoes, mac & cheese, asparagus, brussel sprouts, etc.

We had some great drinks with our meal at the Brookshire Restaurant Royal Park Hotel. Our server put together a unique drink based on a couple of requests I made. I was looking for a mixed drink using iced tea. He came back with some concoction made with pomegranate tea. It was wicked strong and awesome.

For dessert, we could not pass up on the Brookshire’s warm chocolate cake with a truffle center, served with Michigan cherries and white chocolate ice cream.

The menu at the Royal Park Hotel’s Brookshire Restaurant also offers dishes such as lamb, fresh fish, pesto crusted salmon, short rib, gnocchi, and smoked chicken pasta Carbonara. Everything sounds fantastic and I look forward to coming back and trying out more. Prices range from $18-$48 for the entrees.
