Cinco de Mayo Fun in Metro Detroit

altCelebrate Cinco de Mayo 2013 in Oakland County and Metro Detroit, Michigan this weekend with fiestas, food and family fun events! The Cinco de Mayo fun starts on Friday and lasts all weekend!

Cinco de Mayo Event: Cinco de Mayo Party
Oakland County Market (2350 Pontiac Lake Road, Waterford, MI)
Eat, drink and be merry while helping a great cause at a Cinco de Mayo celebration benefitting the Oakland County Parks and Recreation Commission, the Oakland Parks Foundation and the Centro Multicultural La Familia Inc. Enjoy authentic Mexican food and drinks, the Ballet Folklorico, Aztec dancers, Mexican bingo, piñata breaking with prizes, sombrero decorating, a soccer demonstration, a Hispanic art exhibit, exciting silent auction items and dancing. Cinco de Mayo Event: Cinco de Mayo Zombie Run
Maybury Park (8 Mile Road entrance between Beck Rd and Napier Rd)
ome find out and experience Cinco de Mayo like never before, as a Day of the LIVING Dead! This 5k through Maybury State Park has you avoiding obstacles as well as zombies. Can you get through the park uninfected by the zombie horde? Recreation Passport required for any vehicle entering the park. Each vehicle entering the park must have a recreation passport, see below for details. All participants under the age of 16 are required to be accompanied by a registered adult throughout the run.
