Many Oakland County communities along Woodward celebrate the Woodward Dream Cruise with free family fun! Here are some events to look for in August for the 2012 Woodward Dream Cruise:

Berkley, Michigan
Woodward Dream Cruise Event: 2012 Berkley Cruisefest
When: Friday, August 17th, 2012 from 6p-11p
Where: Downtown Berkley
The Annual Berkley CruiseFest will take place on 12 Mile Road. Daytime activities including sidewalk sales followed by the evening classic car parade.
6:00 PM – 9:00 PM – Kid’s Inflatable Games (North side of 12 Mile between Tyler and Gardner Streets)
6:30 PM - Classic Car Parade (Staging at Roseland Park Cemetery begins at 5:30 PM. Cemetery is located at 12 Mile and Woodward. Pre-Registration of vehicles required.
7:30 PM – 9:00 PM – Tri-Community Coalition Street Dance (on Griffith north of 12 Mile).
7:30 PM – 11:00 PM – Live Music - Acts To Be Announced -  Stage Location – on 12 Mile Road at Robina Avenue
All Day – Sidewalk sales throughout the Berkley business district.
All Evening – Food and beverages available for purchase throughout the downtown business district.

Birmingham, Michigan
Woodward Dream Cruise Event: 2012 Birmingham Cruise Event
When: Saturday, August 18th, 2012
Where: Downtown Birmingham
Downtown Birmingham will host the Birmingham Cruise Event to celebrate the region's automotive heritage.  Activities include a variety of automotive exhibits, sponsor displays, and a variety of vendors - all complementing the classic car show, which features hundreds of classic cars on display on Old Woodward between Merrill St. and Lincoln Ave. The Birmingham Cruise Event area features prime viewing spots for car enthusiasts to catch all the action on Woodward while enjoying a fun, family-friendly atmosphere.

Bloomfield Township, Michigan
Woodward Dream Cruise Event: Dream Drive

Woodward Dream Cruise Event: Woodward Dream Cruise and Classic Car Show

Where: Mercedes Benz of Bloomfield (36600 Woodward), Comerica Bank (36440 Woodward), Parking for General Event (36700 Woodward)
Bloomfield Township’s Classic Car Show, held in conjunction with the Woodward Dream Cruise, is the perfect place to enjoy the world’s largest automotive event while enjoying all the comforts and conveniences a smaller setting can give you. Held along three commercial properties on Woodward just south of Big Beaver, the Classic Car Show has general parking, outstanding cars, official Woodward Dream Cruise merchandise, food, music, bleacher seating, and even portable restrooms. Admission to Classic Car Show and Bill Wells Car Club Classic: FREE! General Parking: $5.

Clawson, Michigan
Woodward Dream Cruise Event: Down on Main Street Car Show
When: August 11th, 2012 from 8a-4p
Where: Main Street (Livernois) from 14 Mile rd south to the city limits
The Clawson Lions Club will be hosting its own "big show" -- "Down on Main Street" -- one week before the Woodward "Dream Cruise". Scads of chrome, fuzzy dice, wild paint jobs, thumping exhausts and totally "rad" machines will dazzle your eyes and rattle your brain as Motown monsters take over Downtown Clawson.

Enjoy a day of classic cars and family fun. The Royal Oak Historical Society will be selling hot dogs, soft drinks, water and chips @ $1 for each item. For those car enthusiasts wanting to show off their ride, you can also find a registration form to participate. People's Choice trophies will be presented to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners and the first 75 entries will receive a Dash Plaque. Car show registration forms are also available at the Museum.
