The Farmington Hills Department of Special Serivces has announced a Spirit Women of the Earth Workshop at Heritage Park on Saturday, June 30th from 10a-4p.

Experience a deeper connection and understanding of the natural world through this Spirit Women of the Earth all-day workshop. Discover women’s traditional roles as the Fire Keepers and Storytellers. Practice the basic skills of archery, fire building, and identifying edible plants. Relax with a meditative outdoor labyrinth and reflection in nature. End the day with a celebration of music, drums, and native dancing!

This isn't the first creative way Farmington Hills has found to use the Nature Center at Heritage Park... Farmington Hills already hosts Full-Moon Walks, Labyrinth Walks, Yoga, Hayrides and more at Heritage Park and the Heritage Park Nature Center.

Spirit Women of the Earth will be held on Saturday, June 30 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and is designed for adult women. The program meets at the Farmington Hills Nature Center in Heritage Park. Please dress for the weather, as the program will be held rain or shine. Lunch and all program materials will be provided. The cost is $40 per person.
