Halloween Trick or Treat Hours – Oakland County Michigan Trick or Treat hours / Oakland County Trick or Treat times by City. Michigan cities and communities Halloween Trick or Treat hours & times. – Halloween 2026 is Saturday, October 31. These times are not laws, they are “recommended” or “suggested” trick or treat hours by city released to the public by various city officials and departments. Some communities do not choose to recommend or suggest any specific guidelines for trick or treat times and those are listed below too.
DISCLAIMER – I don’t endorse these events. I’ve researched the following Trick or Treat Hours for these communities for the past 16 years. I am not responsible for this list if they change their hours or policies without notifying me. If you know of a change that needs to be made, please contact me with a link to something official from a city or community official or website.
Each year, for the past 16 years, we research Oakland County communities, websites etc to find out what each city does, if anything, in regards to how they handle Halloween. Little in 16 years has changed. We even call City Clerks and administrators. Some cities have “suggested” or “recommended” hours for Trick or Treating, some have no guidelines. Some communities use their weather alert sirens to start Trick or Treating at a certain time (usually 6p) and sound the siren at another time (usually 7p or 8p) to signify an end. But, again, these are just “suggested” and meant to be friendly reminders and not the “law of the land”.
