Heritage Park Farmington Hills review, pics, info, and shelter reservation info. Heritage Park and its Nature Center is located on Farmington Road between 10 and 11 mile. Maintained by the City of Farmington Hills, Heritage Park is a 211 acre property with 4.5 miles of walking trails. Heritage Park Farmington Hills features a Nature Center, FREE Splash Pad during the summer, Sled Hill, pavilion shelter rentals, amphitheatre for FREE summer concerts, summer camps and programs, and much more. The City of Farmington Hills uses Heritage Park extensively for parks and rec programs.

When you follow the road through the park, you will begin to notice that Heritage Park is home to some historic buildings. These buildings feature the Visitor’s Center, the Nature Center, and the Art Studio. The Nature Center, which is known for its bird-watching area, is free and open to the public. The Art Studio is the former stables of the property, and is used for art and pottery classes.

As you explore the park, you will notice that the trails are the most dominant feature of the park. The trails wind through the park and provide scenic, overlooking views of the area and the Rouge River.

HERITAGE PARK SPLASH PAD REVIEW & PICS

The splash park will be a big attraction for children. It is located next to the playscape area that also features volleyball nets and a large, open field for any other activities you can think of.

OAKLAND COUNTY WATERPARKS & SPRAYPARKS

The winter months also feature plenty of activity at Heritage Park. sledding, outdoor hockey, and cross-country skiing are the three popular activities in the park; but other activities and events are held at the park.

Any of the three picnic shelters in the park can be reserved through the Costick Center. You can call the center at 248-473-1800 to make reservations.

The park prohibits fishing in any pond or river located in the park and dogs are not allowed.

Many local events take place at Heritage Park through the seasons. Outdoor summer concerts and P&R events like Splash Bash, Marshmallow Drop, and several more.
