Jelly Belly Tour Bus Stops in Clawson

Posted by Lisa LaGrou August 28, 2011 Local Activities

altThis was the first year of what we hope to be an annual event – the Jelly Belly Tour Bus visits Doc Sweets’ in Clawson. I took my kids to see it and we could spot the tour bus from afar. It was decorated from end to end with pics of giant Jelly Belly beans. Once we got up close, the kids enjoyed the activities. They entered to win a Jelly Belly gift set, got some free candy, and played games for prizes. A radio station attended as well for more games and prizes.

Perhaps the most fun game was the “risky” wheel. Everyone (parents included) got a chance to spin the wheel and earn the candy flavor it landed on. But, you were really taking your chances on some funky flavors… puke, skunk spray, boogers and more. Thankfully there was a “I can’t handle it anymore” trash bin nearby. The kids found it humorous and the tour bus staff really played it up and entertained the families.

Doc Sweets’ Candy Store was one of only a few locations for the Jelly Belly Tour Bus stop. Doc Sweets hopes they come back again next year and makes a fun little tradition out of it.

Jelly Belly jelly beans are currently made in 92 flavors, and the most recently released flavor is Candy Corn. Known for jaw dropping flavor profiles that hit the mark, the company also makes 100 more fine confections such as licorice, jells, gummies, seasonal sweets and chocolate covered treats.  Additional information is available at JellyBelly.com, the Jelly Belly Hotline at (800) 323-9380 or by calling Doc Sweets’ Candy Company at (248) 597-1051.
