La Botana Mexican Food Restaurant – Troy – Review
La Botana Mexican Food is an “order at the counter” style Mexican restaurant. There is seating inside if you want to dine in, or you can take the food out. The prices at La Botana Mexican Food restaurant closely resemble those of local sit-down Mexican restaurants, so you won’t see a huge savings here with the carryout style. I ordered a Chimichanga and it was $8.99. I’d say that’s about average or slightly below average. You’ll also find Enchiladas for $8.50, Fajitas for $12.99, Tacos for $7.99… and other traditional Mexican favorites like Burritos, Quesadillas, Flautas, Tostadas, Tamales…
The kids “Little Amigo” menu at La Botana Mexican Food restaurant is very reasonable. There are four entrees to choose from and each is $3.99. Kids can order chicken strips and fries, cheese quesadilla and rice, little nachos, or taco and rice.
The food at La Botana (from what I can tell by having ordered the Chimichanga and for being a carry out Mexican restaurant), is the closest thing to a sit-down Mexican restaurant. So if you’re looking for Mexican takeout with the quality and flavor of a sit-down Mexican restaurant, La Botana Mexican Food is a safe bet. My chimichanga from La Botana was fresh, flavorful, and a quality meal. La Botana uses white meat chicken and served the chimichanga topped with melted Queso Sauce and with a side of tasty guac, zesty pico, shredded lettuce, and sour cream. I put it all together for an awesome bite. La Botana really won me over with their service. Friendly and courteous, they even happily accepted my carryout order even though I arrived to place a order 15 minutes after they had closed for the evening!
La Botana Mexican Food also offers party trays and catering.
