L’esprit Academy Cosmetology School of Royal Oak – Review
L’esprit Academy has opened a second cosmetology school in Royal Oak, MI. The first location is in Livonia and has been open since September of 2004.
L’esprit Academy cosmetology school invited me to check out their beauty school and trial a facial. I first noticed that L’esprit Academy does not look like a beauty school. L’esprit Academy does a nice job with making the beauty school look like a typical salon. So, the atmosphere is very welcoming, trendy, and sassy, rather than cold and “school-like.”
L’esprit Academy is not part of a franchise chain so it is free to run the beauty school as it wants. The edge and twist L’esprit Academy gains from this is that L’esprit Academy can offer top brands and advanced training. L’esprit Academy can also stay on top of all the latest hair style and beauty trends because they can institute these trends at the beauty school as soon as things come out, rather than waiting like the franchises are stuck doing.
L’esprit Academy School For Hair, Skin, and Nails has partnered with many of the top brands to bring great products for their clientele, as well as clear cut, simple products that can be taught easily to the students of the beauty school. The hair, skin, and nail lines are very straight forward and education based, making it easy for the beauty school students to match products correctly with the clients.
Students at L’esprit Academy are able to match products with the clients’ needs and hair/skin types. For example, they have specific facials that are great for 12-20 year olds/teens with breakouts. They also have specific products that can address the around the eye area for women who are looking for anti-aging results. The products all smell great as well.
L’esprit Academy School For Hair, Skin, and Nails is open to the public and accepts appointments and walk-ins. L’esprit Academy customers have access to salon-quality products and services at school pricing. All work is performed by students and is fully supervised by licensed instructors. You will find $10 haircuts, $30 for color, $10 manicures, $20 pedicures, and a $30 facial just to name a few. L’esprit also runs specials all the time so be on the lookout for those.
This new cosmetology school will help meet a trending demand. Stacy Wells, founder and CEO of L’esprit Academy says, “As traditional four-year college degrees are increasingly leaving students with huge debt and shrinking job opportunities, more and more people are turning towards alternative career options like those in the cosmetology industry. We’re also an exciting option for those looking to change career paths.”
L’esprit Academy offers students training for careers in esthetics, cosmetology and manicuring. If attending full-time, esthetics and manicuring students can complete their training and be ready to sit for the state licensing exam in just four months. Full-time cosmetology students can complete their coursework in as little as 11 months.
In addition to the timing advantages, L’esprit Academy also offers students an affordable education, with tuition rates for its programs ranging from $4,100 to $16,000 for tuition and supplies. L’esprit Academy offers federal student financial aid (grants and loans) for those who qualify.
