I’m still a few years away from taking my kids to some of the scary attractions featured in our Haunted Hayride/Haunted House Directory. Younger children can enjoy low-scare and frightless Halloween fun this Fall at any of the “haunted” attractions in Oakland County and Metro Detroit that offer safe family fun without the frights.

Friendly Monster Description: The Annual Friendly Monster Food Drive (FMFD) is a chance for the littlest kids to go through with the lights on and parents are free. All the food and admission fees for that event will go directly to feeding families in the Rochester Area. There will be other entertainment like face painting as well. My kids have done this every year since they were 2 years old and it is a great introduction Halloween fun!

Boo at the Burgh provides plenty of haunted fun but this year they’re blocking off a low-scare section of Boo at the Burgh for ages 8 and under on the Saturday date just for youngsters.
