There are plenty of fun things to do in and around Metro Detroit this weekend. This list will try to highlight some of the Metro Detroit weekend events – big and small – for kids and families. I’m going to be using this article to post events and activities that are either free, or at least family affordable.

Lake Orion MI Weekend Event – Lake Orion Jubilee 2015
Downtown Lake Orion
Lake Orion Jubilee features carnival midway rides and games, live entertainment, fireworks on Saturday night, a beer tent and more. Hours and schedule. Rain date for Lake Orion Jubilee fireworks is Sunday, June 28 at 10p.
UPDATE 6/27 – Lake Orion Jubilee Fireworks – Rain date is tomorrow, June 28 but “The only thing that will stop the fireworks from going off tonight is high winds or lightning” per LO Lions club FACEBOOK page.

Red Run Golf Course has their annual fireworks display annualy on the 4th Thursday in June. This fireworks display is only for members of Red Run Golf Course.
