Mid-winter break in some Oakland County communities means school is out! Some Metro Detroit cities have the whole week of February 19 through February 23, 2024 off of school, some only have a day or two off of school, or just President’s Day. Either way, it’s the perfect chance for kids to socialize at day camps, check out indoor rinks or outdoor ice rinks for open ice skating, find open sledding hills or find specials and things to do at Metro Detroit indoor winter fun places!

This exciting opportunity to play with clay teaches campers the fundamentals of ceramics by making pinch pots, tiles, and even throwing on the wheel. Participants will work in traditional white clay as well as air-dry and polymer clays. Please note that some work may not be ready to come home on the final day of camp. If some pieces require additional drying time prior to firing in the kilns, campers will be notified when their work is complete and ready to pick up. Ages 9-12.
