Oakland County Parks Cross Country Ski School 2017
Oakland County Ski School takes place every Saturday from January 28 through February 18. Oakland Country Parks will provide cross country ski instruction for a $15 fee. Register for one Saturday of cross country ski lessons or all of them!
Cost for Cross Country Ski School through Oakland County Parks at Independence Oaks County Park is $15 and includes cross country ski rental, cross country ski instruction and park entry. All ages are welcome. Pre-registration and payment are required in advance. Contact John Haney, 248-858-1486 or haneyj@oakgov.com to register. There must be a minimum of 4 students or a maximum of 16 for class to be held so register early. Obviously, these classes are weather dependent. The department will let registered for the class know the likelihood of skiing on Thursday.
Independence Oaks provides cross country skiing fun on nearly 10 miles of groomed trails throughout the scenic park. Independence Oaks cross country skiers can find warming areas and heated restrooms available for convenience. Cross country ski equipment rental is available on weekends from 8a-4p.
