Long Cider Mill offers delicious apple cider, donuts, and fall family fun in Commerce, Michigan. The Long family business is their orchards but the cider mill is top notch. If anything, I wish the cider mill received more attention as the mills' hours and seasons are more sporadic than other Metro Detroit cider mills where the hours are longer, the season starts earlier and ends later. Still, Long Cider is quite a charming cider mill.

Long Family Orchard Cider Mill offers big-time cider mill amenities. Ample parking, well-manicured grounds, affordable cider mill favorites and more. Long Cider Mill is more than cider and donuts, they offer entertainment for kids (weekends only) with their Fall Time Fun Area playplace, hayrides to the pumpkin patch and 5-acre corn maze. They even offer nighttime glowstick corn maze visits (October weekend nights) suitable for low-scare spooky fun for kids.

The Fall Time Fun Area playplace at Long Cider Mill is open on fall weekends from 9a-5p and features petting zoo animals, sand pits, a giant pumpkin bouncer, corn maze trips, wooden playscapes, a giant slide and plenty of other places for kids to climb and explore (see pics here). You can even purchase a yearly pass so the kids can come back every fall weekend for 1 low price. Fall Time Fun Area at Long's is very well-assembled and expansive. It offers plenty of wide open spaces and attractions to explore. The fun won't last too long for kids 10 and over but kids under 10 will have a blast!

The star attraction at Long Cider Mill, aside from the rustic mill itself, are the donuts! Definitely top 3 in my list of Cider Mill Donuts from Oakland and Macomb County cider mill donuts I've tried. They're served hot, fresh, crispy and delicious. I rank them right up there with the donuts at Erwin's! High praise!

Long Cider Mill in Commerce may not be the biggest cider mill in the Metro Detroit area, but they offer a lot of affordable charm. Sure, it would be great if they offered amenities like longer hours, fixed bathrooms (ie: not port-o-johns) some of the other cider mill hot spots in Metro Detroit offer but Long Cider Mill is worth the drive for weekend fun with the kids or even a special weekday trip just for the donuts!
