Orion Township Library Hosts Small Business Workshops

altHave you ever dreamed of being your own boss? Find out what it takes to run your own business as The Orion Township Public Library hosts SCORE for three informational business workshops.

SCORE is a nonprofit association dedicated to educating entrepreneurs and helping small businesses start, grow, and succeed nationwide. SCORE is a resource partner with the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), and has been mentoring small business owners for more than forty years.

Wednesday, January 11th at 6pm: Could I, Should I, Start my Own Business? $10 Fee
Learn what it takes to start and manage a business; why some businesses fail while others succeed and what personal skills are required to start a business. If you are thinking of starting your own business this workshop will help you decide if this is the right venture for you. (Attendees may bring their spouse or business partner at no additional charge).

Wednesday, February 8th at 6pm: Planning Your Own Business (PYOB) $25 Fee
This presentation includes how to plan for your business and what to research for business start-ups.

Wednesday, March 14th at 6pm: How to Write a Successful Business Plan $25 Fee
All businesses need to accurately describe their plans for growth and success. This is the introduction to creating a successful Business Plan. It provides the necessary first steps in the organization and research needed for your unique opportunity. New entrepreneurs should take PYOB before attending.
