Sky Ropes of Farmington Hills is now closed. Farmington Tennis Club closed its doors for good on April 2, 2013 leaving Sky Ropes without a facility.

Sky Ropes of Farmington opened in August 2012 right inside the Farmington Tennis Club. Here was the OCM review of Sky Ropes in hopes a similar rope climibng facility opens soon in Metro Detroit.

I've attended a couple of self defense seminars and have learned basic self defense techniques. Mostly, the self defense training I've attended consisted of moves that help get you out of a bad situation, but also discuss how to avoid a bad situation - all very helpful. My problem is that these self defense techniques are (thankfully) not practiced on a daily basis and are therefore, not instinctual. Self defense techniques need to be practiced, and the easiest moves to remember are the ones that mostly resemble "common sense."

I have attempted to go cross-country skiing with a friend back when I was in college. We were surprised at how much of a workout it was, but how much it didn't necessarily feel like one and it was so much fun at the same time. I have thought about going back since then, so I decided to take the Oakland County Parks cross-country ski lessons at Independence Oaks County Park as part of their Oakland County Parks Ski School program to help me out and give me some tips and professional cross country ski instruction. Plus, I wanted to take the kids along and have them try it out as well.

Goldfish Swim School in Rochester is now open. My daughter is signed up for swimming classes and we attended our first class recently. Gold Fish Swim School specializes in swim lessons for infants, toddlers, and children ages 4+.

With parents’ busy schedules, getting hit with head lice in the household can be a major setback. Not knowing how to tackle the lice situation only adds more stress and wasted efforts. There are many things to look out for and it starts with being able to detect if you even have a lice infestation.

Years ago, families were on their own from point A (determining if your child has head lice) to point Z (ridding of the head lice). Additionally, many of the available options for treatment were not non-toxic and were not all that effective.

The Village of Rochester Hills Fall Fashion took place on the grounds of Meadow Brook Hall and Gardens on August 23rd, 2012. The show, "La Femme", named after the 1950’s Chrysler car created entirely for the female driver.
