Websafety is a new program that can be downloaded onto our kids cell phones and computers, that monitors what we can’t as parents. With all the netlingo and codes that our kids are talking in, how can we keep up with that? Websafety is downloaded to your child's cell/computer, and has a data base of over 4000 keywords that will send the parents
a danger alert via text and email if their child receives or sends a msg/text on their phone or computer which contains any of the flagged keywords. These words include anything like "meet up," "fat and ugly," "send me a pic," basically any sex talk, bullying, suicide talk, gun talk, etc. There is so much cyberbullying, sexting, etc. going on right now and it's really getting out of hand and difficult for parents to monitor.
Another feature this program has is a gps locator which allows you as a parent to find your child at any time. It also has options to disable texting while driving, and it will turn it back on whenever they have stopped completely. How amazing! It can also send parents speed alerts if their child is either driving or in a car going over a certain mile per hour. You as a parent set those limits. Texting and driving has surpassed drinking and driving 2 to 1. There are far too many stories about teens dying due to texting while driving. I am trying to help get the word out about Websafety which is still in its launch phase. Check out these links to find out a little more...
