Meijer Kettle Potato Chips vs Lay's Kettle Potato ChipsThe Meijer brand claims to match up to the top name brands. I have tried many of the Meijer products and agree with this claim on many Meijer brand products, but have heard it's not always the case.

Trader Joe's Cranberry Bread Mix ReviewTrader Joe's has another tasty treat on its shelves with their Cranberry Bread Mix. Honestly, I wasn't going to buy it because I didn't find the name, Cranberry Bread, all that appetizing. But after buying Trader Joe's Cranberry Bread and making it, I realize it could be called Yellow Cake with Cranberries.

Retro Series Snow Cone Maker by Nostalgia Electrics Review
I bought my daughter a Retro Series Snow Cone Maker snow cone machine by Nostalgia Electrics for Christmas and it has turned out to be one of her favorite presents. I noticed that the Nostalgia Electrics brand snow cone maker seemed durable when I bought it at Bed, Bath & Beyond - Much sturdier-looking than the cheap Snoopy Snow Cone Machine toy that has been popular for so many years. I purchased this particular Retro Series Snow Cone maker for $30.00 minus 20% (thanks to my stockpile of Bed, Bath and Beyond coupons).

Oakland County Moms Trader Joe's Product Reviews (and recipes)Trader Joes' products can often be healthier and more inexpensive alternatives to main chain counterpart products. Trader Joe's also offers seasonal items and specialty foods that show up on the shelves periodically.
I've reviewed a lot of Trader Joe's products since I started Oakland County Moms. Some of my Trader Joe's product reviews are straight up comparisons to similar products and foods in terms of taste, cost and ingredients. Some reviews of Trader Joe's products are just products I've tried for a recipe.

Rummikub Game ReviewA game that deals with numbers and strategy is my kind of game. Rummikub will get you thinking and the better you are at thinking and out-smarting the other players, the more likely you are to win.

I bought Wheel of Fortune for the Nintendo Wii for my son for Christmas. He's a big fan of game shows and game show video games. The price was right. I picked it up for $15 and I didn't view the purchase as wasteful as a shoot-em-up video game.

I had a bottle of Kaboom cleaner sitting in my cupboard for a while - I don't even remember where, when, or why I bought it. It must have been during one of my cleaning kicks where I purchased anything that sounded like it would be a "guarantee" top notch cleaner. Plus, Kaboom is an "Orange Glo" product and I'm a huge fan of those. (Click here for my review of Orange Glo)
