If you're looking for unique, filling, and great tasting, this is a concrete option.
I wanted to share with all of you information about a new restaurant my family and I just tried. It is called the Melting Pot and is a fondue restaurant in Novi right off highway 96. It definitely is an evening out. By that I mean expect dinner to take hours. Everyone cooks their own food in the center of the table, including the children. It is higher end and costs more than some other places but the food is excellent. There are three main courses at Melting Pot. You begin with your choice of cheese fondue, then the main meal of meats and vegetables, and end with your choice of chocolate fondue. The children are kept busy and interested with cooking and they will behave well for you. You will find that you have no problem getting your kids to eat their veggies. Melting Pot Ravioli is also an option with the kids' meals. There are healthy options for those that don't want to cook in oil and you get a variety of foods to try. You can even batter vegetables and meats prior to cooking them. Make sure to save room for the dessert because the chocolate fondues are yummy. If you have an occasion to celebrate you can pay a little extra for a long stem rose in a vase and a group photo! Be sure to make Melting Pot reservations well in advance because they are always booked. Just a word of caution, due to the hot surface Melting Pot may not be appropriate for very young children.
