Myhusband and I drove up to Petoskey/Harbor Springs for a short trip recently.  We stayed at a condo that we reserved through Land Masters. The trip was awesome. We really enjoyed the condo.

It was reasonably priced, fairly modern, and very clean. The condo facility has an indoor pool with sauna and whirlpool – great for the winter.  There is also awesome skiing and sledding, so we hear; we don't ski. During our trip,we visited the new casino, Odawa.  We lost all our money that we set aside for the purpose, fast! But, it was still fun.  The casino was impressive.  We didn’t get the chance to try out the casino restaurants, but they seemed really nice and very trendy, and they offer a buffet with over 100 food varieties!  We did check out some other restaurants: La Senorita, the infamous Mexican restaurant that we rated a 3.5 out of 5 stars; The Chart Room, the restaurant that is in the same establishment as the Pier in downtown Harbor Springs, which we gave 4.5 stars; and Mancino’s (the locations here are too far for us),a pizza and grinders place in Gaylord and Petoskey, which we are absolutely convinced has the best grinders ever – 5 stars.  There is plenty of shopping to do in downtown Petoskey, and there are some coffee shops with internet connection if you need it.  It was a relaxing getaway, a home away from home.  We can’t wait to go back.  Asa matter of fact, we are planning on going back during the Christmas break with the kids.  If so, I will do a writeup in January about how the kids enjoyed it and what activities they participated in.
