There are plenty of fun things to do in and around Metro Detroit this weekend. This list will try to highlight some of the weekend events Metro Detroit – big and small – for kids and families. Rochester Hills Carnival 2016 at the KMart parking lot serves as a fundraiser for the Rochester Hills Lions Club and is a Rochester / Rochester Hills springtime tradition! The Rochester Hills Carnival features carnival midway rides from North American Midway Shows, games, food and family fun. Buy individual ride and food tickets or purchase one-price all-day wrist bands. Flint MI Weekend Event – Sloan Museum Water’s Extreme Journey Exhibit

Sloan Museum Water’s Extreme Journey Exhibit is an educational, fun and interactive exhibit for kids and families. The exhibit is set up as a maze where you are a raindrop and your goal is to reach the ocean at the end of the maze. While walking through the maze, you spin the wheels, follow the arrows that you land on, and then try to stay “clean” as you weave your way through, learning many things along the way. Rochester Hills MI Weekend Event – Arbor Day Commemorative Tree Planting
Rochester Hills Museum at Van Hoosen Farms (1005 Van Hoosen Road, Rochester Hills, MI)
The Forestry Division conducts an annual tree-planting ceremony with the Mayor presiding and often a local scouting or youth group in attendance. Different sites are selected each year for the Arbor Day tree; Borden, Spencer, and Avondale Parks, and City Hall grounds have all been chosen in the past.

Sylvan Lake MI Weekend Event – Family Movie Night

Bring the kids and join your friends and neighbors at the Sylvan Lake Parks and Recreation Movie Night. This movie night we will be featuring The Peanuts Movie.
