DIY Street Fair Ferndale 2023 – Ferndale is hosting their free DIY Street Fair and Funky Art Fair in Downtown Ferndale with live music, kids fun, restaurant row and more. This year’s Fair and Funky Art Fair takes place September 22 through September 24, 2023.
Enjoy Showcasing the immense creative energy, independent spirit and innovative talent that can be found throughout the area, the event has something for everyone.
The Funky Art Fair and the DIY Fair both happen at the same location – 9 Mile & Woodward.
The DIY art event is a free 3-day event in Ferndale, Michigan where local artists, crafters, businesses, groups and organizations, musicians, restaurants, brewers and others who live and work with a do-it-yourself ethic converge for one big celebration. Open to the public – all are welcome.
Funky Art Fair features 100 juried artists and is billed as “twice as funky as the average fine art fair”.
DIY Dates and Times – FRI 6p-midnight, SAT 11a-Midnight, SUN 11a-9p
Funky Art Fair Times – FRI 3p-7p, SAT 10a-7p, and SUN 11a-6p
DIY Street Fair 2023 Highlights include
The Main Stage – local, popular and up-and-coming bands perform free sets throughout the hours of the fair, day and night
The Restaurant Row – local chefs cook up delicious snacks, lunch & dinner all day long
The Marketplace – local artists, crafters, entrepreneurs and organizations present and sell their work.
Both art fairs are FREE to attend.
The street fair is organized by a diverse and passionate group of young local leaders who recognize the DIY ethic that thrives throughout the local community and enhances the quality of life in Detroit and surrounding areas.
Among the many special characteristics that push this event beyond the traditional art fair, this event is about community outreach and growth. It aims to be a showcase for local, homegrown, forward thinking solutions, original works, innovative products, businesses and ideas.
